The theme of the project is a local library at the boundaries between the city of Pisa and its country. On the site, the only elements are some trees. The architecture is designed in function of these natural elements to revalue the nature, to preserve and protect it. Following this concept, walls protect the trees and create private gardens for the library, while the main volumes enclose the primary functions as the reading spaces, the exhibition areas and the auditorium. The materials are chosen to respect the constructive tradition of the city.
